Richard Yelland BSc FInstSMM
Richard has over 25 years experience working in senior sales management and business management positions for both blue-chip and start-up organisations. Richard has a very broad market sector experience in business-to-business selling at a corporate level across the UK, Western Europe and North America.
He is a Fellow of The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
Before starting Proactive Sales, Richard held senior sales positions at Amersham International (now GE Healthcare). In 1993, he successfully helped set up a joint venture business between Amersham and AEA Technologies plc, called Safeguard International Limited where he was Sales Manager and held a position on the Management Board.
In 1999, Richard transferred to AEA Technologies plc and moved to North America to start up a new business on their behalf sitting on the Management Board of that business.
On returning from North America, Richard established Proactive Sales utilising the skills and practises from corporate life to help develop and grow small to medium sized enterprises ranging from start-ups to in excess of £3 million turnover.
Richard has extensive experience of the dynamics involved in managing major accounts so crucial to the development and sustainability of any business.
In addition to Interim Management, Richard applies his experience of sales and the processes involved by running sales workshops to pass on this understanding and knowledge.
